We try to keep families involved in the boys’ lives. Parents must learn to take responsibility for them. Boys are placed with their families one weekend per month and during school holidays once a social worker has established that it is safe for the boys to go there.

 

 

Due to financial circumstances there is not always enough food at home. Khayalethu provides food parcels for the boys, as well as taxi fare to go home and come back. Transport money is also provided to parents should they wish to come in for a family meeting.

 

 

Parents are always involved when important decisions are taken regarding their children.
